SCOTT BAEKELAND is from Ohio and Florida.. After attending the Berklee School of Music in Boston Massachusetts he lived in New York , Vermont, Florida and California.

In 1974 he moved to Bisbee AZ and has been a staple on the music scene ever since and is known for his innovative Jazz stylings . A longtime friend of percussionist Richard Speer, he became intrigued with the wide variety of rhythms used in Latin music.-

Picking up the bass guitar, he joined the mix that is known as La Mezcla.
